  • Conferences and Workshops - The BWP sponsors teacher inquiry groups, research opportunities and forums on writing.

  • Divergent Voices - The BWP Literary Magazine offers a place for teacher-writers to publish short fiction, poetry, drama and personal essays.

School & System Centered Change

  • Teacher Consultants who are successful practitioners and trained workshop presenters;

  • On-Site, long-term professional development;

  • Assistance to schools in dealing with state assessment in writing;

  • K-college curriculum planning in writing;

  • Expertise in urban, multicultural contexts including ESL and bilingual classrooms;

  • Graduate Certificate Program in Teaching Literacy and Writing.
